December - Mobile Mammography Van

On December 27th, LSR joined forces with The Jewish Hospital - Mercy Health Mobile Mammography Unit who provides onsite mammogram screenings. The Jewish Hospital- Mercy Health Mobile Mammography Units make screening mammography quick and easy. The self-contained, 38-foot vans are staffed by female radiology technologists who specialize in mammography. The units use the same FDA and Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA)-approved equipment as the hospital.

December - Toys for Tots

Our annual Marine Toys for Tots drive was a success! In addition to collecting numerous toys, we were able to raise over $1,500.00 in monetary donations! For more information on Toys for Tots and how you can give back, please visit www.toysfortots.org

December - Child Focus Angel Tree

This holiday season, LSR and its employees continue to be a proud supporter of Child Focus by sponsoring children through our annual Child Focus Angel Tree. Child Focus provides families with a wide range of services around the community, and LSR employees were able to provide for these families by purchasing toys, clothing and household items. November - Maintain Don't Gain

During the upcoming holiday months, LSR Health and Wellness committee extended a holiday challenge to fellow employees! The Maintain Don't Gain Challenge is to promote healthy eating habits and staying physically active during the holiday season.

November - Freestore Foodbank

During Thanksgiving week, LSR hosted our annual Casual Days for a Cause to support the Freestore Foodbank. We were able to successfully raise $1,184.00 in support of the Freestore Foodbank. The Freestore Foodbank is a local organization that annually distributes over 20 million meals to more than 260 non-profit agencies, including community centers, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and various non-profit outreach centers in the 20 counties that they serve. October - HealthWorks Flu Shots

On October 18th, LSR Health and Wellness Committee partnered with HealthWorks to provide flu shots for interested employees.

October - Pink Thursdays to Support Breast Cancer Awareness!

During the month of October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness month, LSR hosted Pink Thursdays where employees could pay to dress causal. All funds went to supporting the Pink Ribbon Programs through the Cris Collinsworth Proscan Fund. We were able to successfully raise $844.00 for these efforts.

September - American Red Cross

The month of September saw numerous devastating natural disasters. In support of all of those affected we hosted Casual Days where funds were distributed to the American Red Cross to support each relief effort. We raised $1,416.00 to assist in Hurricane Harvey Relief efforts, another $1,403.00 to assist those affected by Hurricane Irma, and $1,213.00 to support those affected in Mexico's devastating earthquake and the hurricane impact in Puerto Rico.

August - Reds Community Fund

During the month of August, we held events that went to supporting the Reds Community Fund. Each week, we introduced new efforts to raise funds to give back! The LSR Community Service Committee created Raffle Baskets that were raffled off the first week of August. The Committee then sold additional raffle tickets to go toward the Split the Pot fundraiser. Finally, we hosted casual days leading up to a night out at the ballpark with LSR employees. Through all of those efforts, we were able to raise $1,758.00 to support the Reds Community Fund.

August - Autism Speaks

During the month of April we held casual days to support our March Madness Charity Bracket winner -Autism Speaks. We were able to successfully raise $620.00 for this organization. Additionally, we supported the Autism Speaks Walk at Coney Island on May 21st. Autism Speaks is dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of autism spectrum disorder; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions. March - March Madness Charity Brackets!

During the month of March, LSR participated in a group bracket challenge. In addition to rooting for our favorite NCAA teams, we created a March Madness Charity Bracket that listed numerous Charitable Organizations. Each week employees would vote each round who they wanted to see continue on in the "tournament". In the end, Autism Speaks was our champion and support for our next causal day fundraiser would go towards their organization.

February - Cincinnati Youth Collaborative Trivia Night!

During the week of February 6th, LSR hosted casual days to sponsor the Cincinnati Youth Collaborative Trivia night that was held on February 23rd. The firm matched our fundraising efforts and had a total donation of $2922.00 that went to supporting the Cincinnati Youth Collaborative. In addition to our efforts, we had over 50 participants in the trivia night! The Cincinnati Youth Collaborative is a local organization dedicated to empowering vulnerable children and young adults throughout the Greater Cincinnati area. CYC achieves this mission through one-on-one and group mentorships, as well as partnerships with local schools. The goal is to provide all young people in Cincinnati with the opportunities and training to become successful adults.
